A Partnership Grounded in Helping Moms:
Introducing the Moms Helping Moms Foundation: 

Creating high-performing, eco-friendly products that are safe for babies and moms, delivered right when you need them, is one of the many ways Mum & You continually lives out its mission. 

But behind our exceptionally convenient eco-friendly products, stands our most important focus: the moms and babies who use them.  

That is why we decided to partner with a charity that, like Mum & You, makes life easier for moms. Moms Helping Moms is a foundation that was created to ensure that no baby should ever have to go without life’s basic necessities. 

A New Jersey based charity, Moms Helping Moms provides essential baby items to low income families; ensuring that their children have a safe, happy and healthy start.

Founder, Bridget Cutler describes how their small foundation has expanded:  “we’ve grown into a large network of passionate, caring individuals who continuously work together to help moms, babies and young children year after year”.  And their work continues to prove to be so beneficial to the families they touch each day.

In response to the COVID global pandemic, Moms Helping Moms more than doubled it’s diaper distribution number and more than tripled the number of individuals they served in 2019.

This was all made possible through the collaboration of brands and companies such as Mum & You. 

In 2020, Moms Helping Moms has served 101,127 people in need including the distribution of 633, 915 diapers. By expanding their partnerships, Moms Helping Moms continues to expand their reach. 



Measuring the Impact

Currently there are 5.3 million children in the United States ages three or younger that live in poor or low income families*. 

Having to choose between food and diapers should never need to be a decision any mom has to face. 

Yet, at least 1 in 3 American families report a lack of sufficient supply of diapers to keep their infants and young children clean, dry and healthy.

As a brand who creates eco-friendly diapers and products for babies and moms everywhere, Mum & You’s partnership with Moms Helping Moms was simply meant to be. 

 

Here’s more on why diapers for little ones are a big deal: 

  • Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8. 
  • Disposable diapers cost $70.00 to $80.00 per month per baby
  • Without transportation, buying diapers at a convenience store rather than a large “big box” store can significantly increase the monthly cost of diapers.
  • Currently there are no state or federal child safety-net programs that allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers. 

  • Diapers cannot be obtained with food stamps
